bueno para los que quieran instalar el beryl en ubuntu y tengan tarjetas de video nvidia vean esto. aqui se instalara el beryl en ubuntu 6.10 con los drivers beta.
PRIMER PASOprimero es activar los repositorios "universales" y "multiuniversales" esto se logra haciendo click sobre "Administracion" y luego en "propiedades del software" y poner el checkesito sobre "universal" y "multiuniversal"
ahora abrimos una terminal y escribimos esto

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
con esto ya estamos totalmente actualizados. Ahora solo tenemos que agregar una fuente de repositorio , asi que abre una terminal y escribe

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
se abrira un archivo de texto en el cual agregaras hasta el final una de estas lineas

deb http://www.beerorkid.com/compiz edgy main-edgy
deb http://media.blutkind.org/xgl/ edgy main-edgy
deb http://compiz-mirror.lupine.me.uk/ edgy main-edgy
deb http://ubuntu.compiz.net/ edgy main-edgy
recuerda de SOLO agregar UNA de las mencionadas arriba a la lista de repositorios.
si estas usando un amd 64 bit entonces no agregues los de arriba solo agrega este

seguimos!!!! ahora agreguemos la llave de Quinns con UNO de estos comandos en la terminal

SEGUNDO PASO: instalando drivers nvidiaagreguen este repositorio , primero abrimos el sources.list

ahora nos vamos hasta abajo y agregamos este repo

ahora ejecutemos esto en una terminal

TERCER PASO: instalando Berylejecutamos esto

sudo apt-get install beryl-core beryl-plugins beryl-plugins-data emerald beryl-settings beryl-manager beryl beryl-dev emerald-themes
CUARTO PASOabramos nuestro archico /etc/X11/xorg.conf con este comando

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
ya abierto nuestro xorg.conf pasamos a buscar la entrada "section "screen"" a mi me costo un poco encontrarla pero ahi tiene que estar.
dentro de section screen agregar esto

QUINTO PASO : Ya terminamos !!!asi es solo toca reinicar el modo grafico con "alt + control + backspace" o simplemente reiniciar .
una vez reiniciado y de nuevo logeado solo basta con abrir una terminal y escribir "beryl-start" o si no "beryl-manager"
a mi personalmente me funciona con escribir "beryl-manager" en la terminal.
PD:si por alguna razon se les queda "trabado" al iniciar el beryl pruben hacer esto en la terminal para solucionarlo.
