Grub Error 17

buenos dias, felices pascuas a todos antes que nada!



Quiero consultarles pues no soy mas que un usuario ignorante de linux, novato en otras palabras y hace dos dias reparticione la paticion en donde estaba windows vista ultimate, dividiendola ala mitad, eso lo hice desde windows vista con la herramienta que trae de por si en el panel de control.



mas tarde me encuentro que al volver a encender la pc no me arranca algun SO ni tampoco da la opcion, como si el menu de arranque estuviera dañado, es decir lo unico que hace cuando intenta cargarlo:

Aca esta el menu (me llama la atencion por que desde un cd en live puedo acceder sin problemas al menu de arranque que esta en el disco si deberia estar protegido por contraseña)

se que tendria que escanear el disco con algo como #fdisk -l pero al poner dicho comando en el terminal no sucede nada... (soy novato en linux, sepan disculparme)



tiene que existir alguna forma de ver que particiones hay en el disco, diganme que comando usar asi, comparamos el menu de arranque con lo que realmente hay en las particiones?

la solucion la encontre en grub recuperacion encontre este enlace en un post realizado, dentro de una respuesta que dio Vera!



basicamente es cargarle una version live abrir un terminal y hacer lo siguiente (La opcion 2 dada en el enlace desde un cd live):

$ sudo grub * * * * * * * *--> ejecutamos el interprete de comando de grub

> find /boot/grub/stage1 * --> busca donde esta la partición de ubuntu

> root (hdX,Y) * * * * * * --> poner el valor devuelto anterior

> setup (hd0) * * * * * * *--> instala grub en nuestro primer disco duro (hd0), 

 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * que es con el que inicia la computadora

> quit * * * * * * * * * * --> salimos del interprete de comando de grub
